Jamie and I met in 2005 when we both began working at the Grove Park Inn Resort and Spa in Asheville NC. Alyson grew up in Asheville while Jamie had just recently moved there. We were co-workers… and then friends… and then lovers.
We moved to Oakland CA in 2010 after Jamie was accepted to Graduate School at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Jamie pursued his MFA in Motion Pictures & Television focusing on editing/post production. Jamie currently is the video producer for Blue Bottle coffee in Oakland CA.
Jamie and I had a beautiful baby girl, named Frances, on May 2, 2015. Parenthood is a wild ride. We have grown so much together because of it and wouldn’t change it for a thing. It’s pretty magical. We feel very blessed to have her. We also recently had the cutest little boy, named Carter James, on July 11, 2017 . He was 11 weeks early and, again, this experience has only brought us closer and stronger as parents and a couple. I do think we have more grey hairs then ever before though.
Alyson is currently apart of the Boot & Shoe Service team(a delicious wood fired pizza restaurant in Oakland) and taking on floral gigs/freelancing whenever possible. You can find my floral portfolio at flowerandforage.com. Aside from working a couple days at Boot & Shoe I am mainly focused on being the best mom I can to my kids.
We absolutely love our life in California and this grand new adventure of being parents. Follow along to see our everyday life and adventures as the Vitt’s.

I will never forget the first time I met Jamie. It was at Alyson (my niece’s house warming party) Jamie was the sweetest young man I had met in awhile. I remember saying to myself Alyson is a very lucky young lady. I believe the memory that sticks in my mind the most is Jamie giving Alyson an old fashion swing. A wooden seat and ropes tied up in the tree, how precious is that, then to watch Jammie pushing Alyson ahhhhhh! We are not able to attend the wedding due to our own daughter getting married a couple weeks later, but I would like to say I wil be there in heart and soul and know that I love the both of you dearly!
