Our life on the west coast has brought us so much joy. Both Jamie and I are both hard at work (sometimes that’s seems like all we do) and trying to spend days off with friends or out in beautiful places is most important to us. California has a lot of that! We are fortunate to live in an area where we don’t have to go far to get out in nature.
As of recent Jamie has started his own company, Parlor (weareparlor.com). In short it’s a creative video agency. It was scary to think of my husband starting his own business but it’s been (and I expected nothing less) the best move for him. The company has had great success!
I am currently assistant manager at
one of Oakland’s finest restaurants, Boot & Shoe Service. Funny name, I know. It’s a historic building in which my owner didn’t want to take the sign down. I feel extremely fortunate to work for such a great place! As of recent I have been dabbling in floral as well. Very on the side and 100% influenced by my mom.

Dear alyson and Jamie right on! glad all is good and your bees knees are busy. life here is good and full and recently sunny after much rain. dog tongues are truly made to splatter slobber in all direcions. jamie I am glad you are a boss. i was and I like to say that I became a good boss by being a bad boss.
